The first sportive I did after getting back on the bike was the Kare Tour De Foothills.
Starting and finishing in Naas, the TDF has three routes (100km, 50km and a 20km family spin). The 100km and 50km routes take in the Blessington lakes, with the longer route venturing south to the Glen of Imall this year. As it happens the last two years have seen spectacular Spring sunshine making it a very pleasant day out indeed.
With excellent marshalling, great changing facilities, food stops and lots of smiles, the Kare TDF is a fun event raising money for a very good cause.
I can't make it for three in a row this year but would urge you to get to Naas next Sunday morning (17th April) and give it a go.
